Dr. Stoetzer has had an extensive academic career spanning over 35 years in both the college and university sectors. Oliver has developed and taught courses at the college and university level and has, concurrent to this period, been a life-long learner and avid technology and social policy advocate.
Oliver began his academic career at Fanshawe College teaching in the Law and Security Administration, Police Foundations, Protection, Security and Investigation (PSI), and Social Work programs. Oliver was also Coordinator of the Police Foundations and PSI programs during his tenure at the college. Dr. Stoetzer has also taught part-time courses for several universities and has also collected certifications in CPTED basic and advanced as well as trained in GIS systems and numerous software applications for advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and crime analysis. Dr. Stoetzer has also received training in Air Crash Recovery and Human Remains recovery.
Dr. Stoetzer holds a diploma in Law and Security Administration, an undergraduate bachelor’s degree in Sociology from King’s College, an Honours degree in Sociology from The University of Western Ontario, a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice, and a PhD. in Business Administration: Business, Corporate, and Campus Security from Northcentral University with a research focus in Biometrics and Identity and Access Management Systems.
