Sarin John earned his PhD in financial accounting at the University of Alberta. Before pursuing a career in academia, he worked in the enterprise software (data management/integration and advanced analytics) sector in the U.S. for a decade.
He also holds an MBA in finance from North Carolina State University and a bachelor of technology degree in computer engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology.
His research interests lie at the interface of financial reporting, capital markets, the economics of intangible assets, technological innovations, and corporate governance.
