PhD in Management, Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management
I chose the PhD in Management program because of its collaborative environment and esteemed faculty. The department is supportive and encouraging, and there is a genuine sense of community. The OB/HRM concentration’s structure—starting with a one-year master’s degree, and progressing through the PhD program with comprehensive exams, in-depth dissertation research, and teaching—offers the support and clarity to ensure students are set up for success.
My research explores positive psychology in organizational settings, with a focus on how leader vulnerability and self-compassion shape workplace outcomes at the individual, relational, and organizational levels. Through this work, I aim to advance understanding of leadership dynamics that foster effective, supportive, and inclusive organizational environments. My objective is to attain a tenure-track faculty role at a Canadian university, where I can continue to conduct and disseminate impactful research and mentor emerging scholars—bringing the supportive academic culture I value at ³Ô¹ÏÍø with me.
